Lilesh has a master’s degree in social work. He is a farmer too. However, ask him what he wishes to be known as, and pat comes the answer: a Gond artist.
When we speak with Lilesh, it is sowing season for chana, and that is what Lilesh is doing. He tells us about the families in his village who have given up Gond. COVID has only accelerated the exit.
